Lovely holiday cottage on the Bernia Mountain. Beautiful location with stunning views over the Mediterranean see, the mountais and the valley. Tranquil and privately situated.
The cottage has a livingroom with ceiling fan, also french doors opening onto your own private terrace and garden, while the electric fireplace warms any chilly night. The kitchen includes dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave/oven and all the utensils you may need to enjoy your stay.
Sleeping accomodation includes a master bedroom also with french doors, with double bed (1.60 x 2m), a ceiling fan and an airconditioning unit; as wel as an additional small bedroom with 2 single beds (0.9 x 2m) that can be arranged as a double bed if required, and a column fan. The bathroom includes vanity, toilet and shower along with hairdryer, and a small electric heater. All the tilt and turn windows have mosquito screens.
Television channels are via the Internet : English, Dutch, French, Germain, Belgium, Sweden, Irish and Sportchannels.
Wifi is available in the cottage and also near the pool/terrace.
The cottage is situated on basement level of the main villa. You walk along the basement to the outdoor stair to go up to the spacious south facing terrace with a large heated infinity pool (soft salt water, no chlorine), which includes comfortable sun loungers to enjoy whilst swimming and relaxing. Toilet and shower (hot/cold water) facilities are also available.
For those who love space and quietness and yet want to be amongst people only a few minutes away by car, this is the perfect place for you. The privately situated cottage stands with its back against the Bernia mountain at 250m above sealevel.
From your own private terrace or the adjoining pool, both south orientated, you can enjoy stunning, breathtaking views out to the ocean and mountains, while at night the many stars and lights from the nearby villages twinkle above and below.
If traveling by car you are within 5 minutes in Altea la Vella where you will find shops, restaurants and bars. By car it will take you only 10 minutes to the nearest beach. Other attractions such as Altea are 15 minutes away. Calpe is 20 minutes away and Benidorm with all its entertainment is also 20 minutes away.
Above the cottage is a protected green area. From here sporty guests can go hiking or mountaineering and enjoy the beautiful landscape with all its wildlife and flora and fauna.
Because of the location of the cottage you need a car to visit the surrounding area. Private parking is available with access to the cottage by stairs or through an outdoor elevator. The nearest busstop is in Altea la Vella.
Unfortunately the cottage is not suitable for little children (toddlers), or for disabled persons due to the different levels of the terrain.
Altea and the surroundings are full of many local attractions with plenty to see and do, ideal for daytrips to either the coast or mountains which are within easy reach. And no need to say, the climate at the Costa Blanca is wonderfull, lots of sunny days and hardly any rainfall.

There is a spacious terrace around the pool with lounge chairs, outside shower with hot and cold water, a toilet, air beds, etc.
